Flame Retardant Acrylic Staple Fiber – 2D x 38mm

Product Introduction

This product is Flame Retardant Acrylic Staple Fiber, manufactured through a special copolymerization or additive modification process that imparts permanent flame retardant properties to the acrylic fiber while retaining the original softness, bulkiness, and thermal insulation performance of acrylic.

1. Physical and Flame Retardant Properties

  • Fineness & Length: 2D x 38mm, a cotton-type/medium fine denier specification, suitable for cotton spinning systems as well as nonwoven processes.

  • Flame Retardant Performance:

    • Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) ≥ 28-32%, resistant to ignition and self-extinguishing upon flame removal.

    • Complies with domestic and international flame retardant standards (e.g., GB/T 5455, EN ISO 11612, NFPA 701, etc.).

    • Permanent Flame Retardancy: The flame retardant property is achieved through fiber molecular structure modification or copolymerization, not surface coating. It is resistant to washing and dry cleaning, with no degradation of flame retardant effect over time.

  • Inherent Acrylic Properties:

    • Bulky and Soft: Hand feel similar to wool, with good thermal insulation.

    • Bright Dyeability: Can be dyed with cationic dyes, achieving vibrant colors and high color fastness.

    • Excellent Light Resistance: Acrylic ranks among the best synthetic fibers for sunlight resistance, suitable for outdoor products.

    • Mothproof and Mildew Resistant: Superior to natural fibers, easy to store and maintain.
